The Power Ramp Test Facility (PRTF) is an irradiation facility used for testing the fuel of a Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) power reactor. PRTF is equipped with a capsule as a test fuel rod container. The capsule, in addition to containing fuel, also contains water which is connected to the primary cooling circuit and circulation pump. During the PRTF operation the primary cooling water pressure is maintained at 160 bar.
